Class Policies
1. Respect... each other, yourselves, the materials, the learning environment.
2. Kindness... treat other students and their ideas with kindness. Every person you meet in life will have something interesting to teach you.
3. Lean in... be ready to work and be prepared for class when you walk in the door (a.k.a do your homework on time/bring materials to class).
4. Bring a great attitude... I am here to challenge you. You will thrive if you take on the challenge with a positive attitude.

What to do when:

- Read the agenda slide from the day you were out.
- Make up classwork and homework.
- Come in at break or during math clinic to get late work stamped or...
- Place make up work in turn in bin/ write "Absent" on homework.
- Check with teacher to make sure you understand.
- You have a one day extension on homework if you were absent one day. Two days extension if you were absent two days, etc.
- Independent studies (5+ days planned absence) are arranged with the office and there is no extension for work.
- Make it up within 2 days for 3/5 credit.
- See teacher at break or math clinic to correct your work.
- Turn in corrected work to the turn-in bin.
- Write "Late" on your homework (and your name/date/per).
- Do test corrections (due one week after test is handed back).
- Use a separate piece of paper: Title "Test Corrections Ch..."
- Copy and complete each problem you made a mistake with, showing each step.
- Get help for this process during math clinic or break
- Write a sentence stating how you made your mistake, OR how you know you are now correct.
- Staple test corrections to the back of the original test, turn in to the teacher.
- Schedule a re-take with your teacher once test corrections are turned in.
- Some assignments are allowable to resubmit, but not all assignments. Check with teacher to find out if you can resubmit.
- Add work to assignment either in correcting pen or on a separate piece of paper, then attach to original. I need to see what work is new and what is original.
- Turn in to the turn in bin. Write: "Resubmit" and today's date on the assignment.
- If available for this assignment, must be resubmitted within one week of assignment being returned to student. Can be resubmitted for a grade change one time only.
